The article of researches are processes of modernization and reformation of regional parts of educational complex of Ukraine. A research purpose is development of scientific bases of mapping of educational complex of Ukraine in the conditions of his modernization and reformation and creation on the base of GIS-technologies of the system of maps, series of maps and atlases of formation of territorial units of regional level. The task of this research is development of theory of mapping of educational complex of Ukraine, in particular ground of his maintenance, directions, scales, cartographic sources, structure and maintenance of separate complex maps, series of maps and atlases, depicting facilities, norms of generalisation of elements, and others like that; design techniques and conclusion of cartographic works of regional parts of educational complex of Ukraine by facilities of GIS-technologies.Researches are based on the newest achievements of methodologies of scientific cognition, general theory of the system, existent theoretical developments, from the socio-economic mapping, in particular spheres of education and leadthrough of experimental works.
