The catalogue contains bivariate and trivariate serendipian finite elements (SFE). Bivariate elements actualize bilinear interpolation (SFE-4), biguadratic interpolation (SFE-8), bicubic interpolation (SFE-12). Trivariate elements actualize trilinear interpolation (SFE-8), triguadratic interpolation (SFE-20), tricubic interpolation (SFE-32). SFE badly yield to any formal characterization. It is established that the SFE alternative basises can not be obtained with the help of the traditional method of inverse matrix. It is better to use the geometric modeling on these elements. Its advantages become apparent on the elements of higher orders. The results of geometric analyses of SFE basis funstion testify that to build basis one can confine oneself only two-dimensional subspace and surfaces of the second order.
