Mechnikov National University popup.description2 The interaction of Fe(II), Co(II), Ni(II), Cu(II), Zn(II) valerates and benzoates with nicotinamide has been studied. 13 coordination compounds with composition MLn(RCOO)2 and ML2(RCOO)2xH2O have been isolated. It has been stated by IR spectroscopy nicotinamide to be monodentate in all complexes and to be coordinated through pyridine ring nitrogen atom while carboxylate-aniones can be monodentate, chelate or bridged. It has been shown by thermogravimetric method synthesized complexes decomposition temperatures to depend on metal and anione nature as well as on stoichiometry. It has been showh the growth of catalytic activity of synthesized complexes in hydrogen peroxide decomposition reaction depending on metal, anione nature and stoichiometry goes in the direction corresponding to catalytic stability decrease. It has been stated Mn(II), Cu(II), Co(II) complexes with aerosil-immobilized Schiff bases to form chelate N2O2-coordination centers on the understanding that aminopropyl modificator content on aerosil surface to come to at the least 7.10-4 mole/g.
