The purpose of the study is perfection of resource-saving technologies of forging and stamping based on researches and application of new schemes of deformation. The basis of theoretical studies put the energy method of upper bound and finite element method. Experimental studies were conducted using the method of physical modeling and strain gauges for measuring technological effort and the method of coordinate grids to determine the strain state of preparations. To assess the accuracy of the results and the degree of convergence of theoretical and experimental studies have used methods of mathematical statistics. The mathematical analysis of processes of forming hollow parts with variable wall thickness and processes of upset of ingots on the basis of an upper bound and finite element method was made.
