Amorphous state of obtained glasses was controlled visually by a characteristic concoidal fracture, absence of heterogeneities detected with IR microscope and using XRD data. Bulk samples of As-Se (Se, As10Se90, As20Se80, As30Se70, As40Se60, As45Se65, As50Se50, As53Se47, As55Se45, As60Se40) and Ge-Se (Ge2Se98, Ge5Se95, Ge10Se90, Ge20Se80, Ge30Se70, Ge40Se60) systems were cut onto parallel plates with different thicknesses for the corresponding measurements. Geometric characteristics of the obtained plates were matched to the standard size of samples used in DSC, MDSC, positron annihilation, X-ray diffraction and XAFS spectroscopy measurement . Part of the samples was polished up to the high optical quality for optical and vibration spectroscopy investigations.
