Head Panko Mykola Fedorovich, Registration Date 26-10-2011 Organization National agricultural university of Ukraine popup.description2 Research subject: : an acute ammonium toxicosis of cattle (6 month age bulls), clinical parameters, pathogenesis, antidotal therapy. Investigation methods: clinical, biochemical, statistical. Purpose of the work: is to study efficiency at ammonium toxicosis of ruminants of the antidote, containing magnesium, sulfate of MgSO4 х 7H2O substituted, sodium phosphate bisubstituted for Na2HРО4 х 12H2O.The antidote binds with ammonium ions resulting to poorly-soluble in a neutral and alkaline medium ammonium magnesium salt of phosphoric acid of MgNH4PO4, are formed in the GIT of animals. The antidote is highly effective in ammonium toxicosis treatment of ruminants. Its ingredients are of body tissues and liquids origin, and its metabolites are nontoxic. A dose of the antidote, intended for 100% ammonium binding (magnesium sulfate 2,5 g/kg of body weight, and sodium phosphate bisubstituted 3,6 g/kg of body weight), can be lowered to provide the ammonium concentration decrease down to nonlethal. The proposed method of therapy can be used at the increased ammonium genesis pathology. Industry of application is veterinary medicine.
