It is revealed that the relation between the free path of photoelectron and the nanoparticle size is determining upon high energy excitation. Composite scintillation materials based on the polystyrene matrix activated by organic luminescent impurities and doped LaPO4-Pr nanoparticles were synthesised. Essential growth of X-ray luminescence intensity of polystyrene scintillation blocks upon activating by nanoparticles was observed. So at concentration 20 mol.% of LaPO4-Pr the intensity of X-ray luminescence grows in the polystyrene block for seven times in comparison with the "pure" polystyrene scintillator and amounts about 42 % from a light yeild of BaF2 powder. Radiative transfer of excitation energy from excited level of Pr3+ ion to polystyrene composite was revealed.
