The effectiveness of new geoelectric methods both the lithosphere structure studied and the detection of hydrocarbon areas are demonstrated. Results are presented as models of four deep geoelectric sections along the Drake Passage (the western part of the Scotia Sea) and the Bransfield Strait. This region is characterized by different types of crust. Basically its structure and evolution had an influence of high temperature upper mantle rocks during the temperate spreading of South American and Western Antarctic blocks. The active asthenolith which located under the Bransfield Strait and partially under South Shetland Islands had the main influence on the tectonic processes in this region. Geoelectrical sounding was identified four "oil" anomalies with total area of about 900 km2 which was confirmed by satellite data. These data had shown the existence of the new petroleum province on Antarctic shelf. The efficiency of integration of new technologies of gas hydrate studies with detailed characteristics of deep crust anomalous polarized layers like "gas hydrates accumulation" is shown. Near the "Akademik Vernadsky" base three anomalous zones like "gas hydrates accumulation" were traced. According to our results the gas hydrates source in the South Shetland Islands by 25-30% higher than previously calculated. This can be attributed to the area in one of the most promising gas hydrates region in West Antarctica.
