The objective of the scientific inquiry is determination of efficient modes of obtaining the amorphous carbon, including onion-like carbon by the method of high-energy electrodischarge treatment of hydrocarbon gases on basis of the research of physical and technical processes of amorphous carbon with a different type of a short-range order which may be used as antifriction additives to industrial and engine oils. The research of output of electrolyte nanocarbon additives and industrial oils after high-energy electrodischarge treatment of gaseous carbons is conducted. The physical processes of amorphous carbon synthetis, including with an onion-like structure are explored. The analysis of the synthesized amorphous nanocarbon showed that the developed method of synthesis allows for obtaining pure amorphous carbon with low dissipation of sizes of theoretical value 22 nm. Research of physical electrodischarge processes of amorphous carbon synthesis shows that at the developed method several mechanisms of hydrocarbon destruction are realized, and both heterolytic and hemolytic covalent bond splitting occurs. The determined law of distribution of sizes of nanoparticles of amorphous carbon allows for using the methods of mathematical statistics for obtaining the regularities of the high-frequency method of synthesis.
