The aim is the study of theo-retical pre-conditions and approaches to monitoring business communication; distinguishing the peculiarities of communicative behavior; justification of organizational, psychological and pedagogical conditions for the improvement of monitoring process of communicative behavior; concretization of criteria and indices; determining communicative be-haviour levels of a businessman and the development of the model for monitoring the communicative behavior of a businessman on the basis of prior investigations. Research methods are the following: comparison, analysis, synthesis, induction, deduction, logical and structural schemes, the investigation of the front-rank experience, interview, pedagogical experiment, statistical methods. As a result of theoretical investigation, general approaches to monitoring the communicative behavior of a businessman have been established; the peculiarities of communicative behavior have been singled out; organizational, psychological and pedagogical conditions for the improvement of monitoring process of communicative behavior have been justified; criteria and indices have been concretized; communicative behaviour levels of a businessman have been determined; the model for monitoring the communicative behaviour of a business-man has been developed. On the basis of empirical data, the efficacy of this monitoring system has been assessed in order to develop a higher level of communicative competency among university students majoring in Economics.
