На підставі теоретичного аналізу наукової літератури, міжнародних та вітчизняних нормативних актів, узагальнення практики їх реалізації розглядається природа авторитарного режиму та визначається його місце в системі державних режимів, досліджується його соціально-економічні, політико-правові та соціокультурні виміри, узагальнюється типологія авторитарних режимів і висвітлюються питання їх правового регулювання. Дисертація також досліджує конституційно-правові засади становлення демократичного режиму в Україні, а також розкриває вплив демократизації державного управління на динаміку державного режиму. The dissertation is developed to problems of theoretical-methodological analysis essence and functions of authoritarian state modes in terms of the transition to democracy. The choice of the subject of the research is caused by a number of factors, and the main is its urgency for Ukraine in the period of its development as a democratic social lawful state. If structurally to use the experience of other states, which already have passed a difficult way to democracy, it will allow Ukraine to avoid many difficulties and mistakes. The transitive period from totalitarism to democracy and civil society, political instability, backwardness of the political system growing social differentiation and other negative phenomena cause the necessity to search the ways of their overcoming. In jurisprudence enough attention to problems of opposition of authorism and democracy, research of the ways use of democratic potential of a society is not given yet. In the work I have analyzed various types of authoritarian modes and investigated features of their legal functioning. The purpose of the given work consists in the analysis and research of features of the authoritarian modes, their conditionality by socio-economic, politico-legal and sociocultural factors in the conditions of the state-legal development of the modern Ukraine. Besides, the dissertation analyzes the development and functioning of a state mode in the modern Ukraine, investigates the basic directions of reforming of state management in Ukraine.
