There were prevalenced boys- 58,6 % and children more than 6 years old- 56,1%. In the majority the location of the process was in the long bones of the lower extremities. The local form(by T.P.Krasnobaev) was 88,5%.The reduction of cases of acute hematogenous osteomyelitis in Sumy region was not determined during last 15 years. В статье проведен анализ 261 больного в возрасте от 2 недель до 14 лет, находившихся на лечении по поводу острого гематогенного остеомиелита с 1990 по 2004 год. Преобладали мальчики – 58,6 %, чаще болели дети после 6 лет – 56,1 %. В основном поражались длинные трубчатые кости нижних конечностей. Локальная форма (по Т.П. Краснобаеву) составила 88,5 %. Снижение числа заболевших ОГО за последние 15 лет в Сумской области не отмечается.
