З урахуванням потреб розвитку держави і євроінтеграційних прагнень визначено перелік і характер функцій прокуратури України, форми і методи діяльності її органів і посадових осіб. Проаналізовано структурні зв'язки в системі прокуратури України, її взаємовідносини і взаємодію з органами, які належать до законодавчої, виконавчої і судової гілок влади. Обґрунтовано автономність прокурорської системи і необхідність її збереження в Україні до стабілізації соціально-економічної і політичної обстановки в державі. У роботі сформульовано рекомендації щодо удосконалення законодавства та інших нормативних актів стосовно прокуратури і практики їх застосування. The dissertation is devoted to the public prosecution role and place in the mechanism of modern Ukrainian state, to the trends of its existence and development in future. Having taken into account the necessity of the state development and European integration wishes, it is defined the list and nature of public prosecution functions, the forms and methods of public prosecution bodies and its officials. Structural relations in the system of Ukrainian public prosecution, interrelations and interaction with the bodies of legislative, executive and judicial brunches of power are under analysis. It is grounded the autonomy of public prosecution system and the necessity of its preservation in Ukraine until the stabilization of socioeconomic and political situation in the state.
