The method of optimization according to the reliability criterion of the structures of the electrical operating systems for the metal-cutting equipment with rigid logic is developed based on the study of the reliability of the operating systems of the metal cutting equipment of domestic and foreign production held at JSC SSPA named after M.V. Frunze and their structural and functional analysis considering the element base used, the operating conditions of execution units, the length and the intersection of communications and the changes of operational factors. The increase of the reliability of operating systems is provided by the reasonable choice of the number of commutation relations between the executive and command elements based on the condition of reaching a given factor of the technical usage of the equipment.
