Исследование основано на годовых и региональных данных и использует метод стохастической границы (SFA). Результаты показывают, что эффективность издержек и эффективность относительно прибыли улучшилась за этот период, а исламские банки в этих четырех регионах могут лучше контролировать издержки, чем генерировать прибыль. Результаты также показывают, что исламские банки в Европе имеют большую эффективность издержек и уровень прибыли, чем другие группы банков. Банки в регионе Ближнего Востока значительно менее эффективны, чем исламские банки в Африке, но более эффективные, чем банки на Дальнем Востоке и в Центральной Азии. The purpose of this paper is to study the cost effectiveness and profits of Islamic banks in four of the region of the world: Africa, the Far East, Central Asia, Europe and the Middle East in the period 2003-2008. The study is based on the annual and regional data and uses the stochastic frontier (SFA). The results show that the cost effectiveness and efficiency with respect to improved profits over this period, and Islamic banks in these four regions can better control costs than to generate profits. The results also show that the Islamic banks in Europe have a greater cost effectiveness and level of income than other groups of banks. Banks in the Middle East region is much less efficient than Islamic banks in Africa, but more efficient than banks in the Far East and Central Asia. popup.nrat_date 2025-05-12 Close
