The book is dedicated to the one of the historical science problem - historiographic analysis of textbooks on history. In modern terms the educational literature on the history is an important component of historical science, because it is a kind of indicator of its major achievements and development. This fact allowed us to monitor changes in methodology, content and structure of history textbooks that were published in the 90's of the twentieth century.; Substantiate periods of the main stages of Ukraine in national textbooks and manuals on history for secondary and higher education, show value history textbooks for the development of historical science.
