Analytical overview of the main classifications which is used for indexing and library catalog’s organization by systematic and systematization of documents is realized. The essence of information’s systematic and systematization, as forming expression of knowledge through the prism of classification principles differently structural library and bibliographic classifications are defined. У публікації розглянуто основні структурні властивості класифікаційних систем у проекції на організаційні характеристики бібліотечного каталогу. Здійснено аналітичний огляд основних класифікацій, що використовуються для індексування і організації бібліотечного каталогу засобами систематики та систематизації документів.
