XRD investigations of sintered samples showed that, pure hydroxyapatite is stable in all three atmospheres. But, moist and reduction atmospheres were preferred to suppress the hydroxyapatite decomposition in hydroxyapatite -alumina and hydroxyapatite – titanium nanocomposites, respectively.
