The article reveals the essence of financial security of the state and the features of financial safety of the insurance market as an integral part of it. The methodical approaches to the analysis of financial safety of the insurance market are systematized and the main threats are identified. Based on analysis of dynamics of indicators of the state of financial security of the insurance market the relevance and trends of the main threats are determined.
