На основі цього окреслено основні напрями нових ініціатив у галузі підвищення значущості української мови. The article is devoted to the problems of the role of the Ukrainian language at the new stage of state construction in Ukraine. Some theoretical issues of this extremely important problem are highlighted, the reasons, which provoked a critical situation with the Ukrainian language, are indicated.
