Визначена роль інформаційних технологій в забезпеченні можливостей переходу від екстенсивного до інтенсивного розвитку України. Сформовані пріоритетні напрямки зростання ІТ-галузі, що забезпечать розширення інвестиційного потенціалу України. Summing up, within the modern state of Ukrainian economy, information technology is spreading rapidly through the all sectors. The rise of the key IT factors such as share in GDP, labour force and structure is a clear evidence. At the same time, IT sector creates significant investment potential in financial sector, government and education. In turn, it should be noted, that foreign direct investment has the opposite effect on the IT sphere. Thus, foreign direct investment contributes towards the human capital formation, international trade integration, entrepreneurship development, competitive business environment creation and especially technology revitalizing [29]. Thus, a closed cycle is created where the influence on one another increases with the every new stage (IT on investment and vice versa). The hidden investment potential, generated by the initial stages of information technology development, can be observed in communications, transport and light industry. At the same time, the following restrict the realization of existing and hidden investment potential: corruption, economic and political instability, unfavorable innovation environment, lack of legislative framework for IT market regulation, lack of state finding, lack of technological parks. Solving these problems and blossoming of the IT sector prior fields will allow us to create the basis for bringing Ukraine closer to a country with developed type of economy.
