У роботі зазначено, що у сучасній кримінологічній літературі суїцид визначається як навмисне насильницьке позбавлення себе життя, яке вчиняється за власною волею особи і не обумовлене непереборними зовнішніми факторами або психічними розладами, але поняття суїциду неповнолітніх у теорії кримінології відсутнє. Тому авторами було надане власне визначення поняття «суїцид неповнолітнього» The article deals with the current topic of juvenile suicide, as the number of deaths due to suicides of children and adolescents has recently started to increase. It is stated in the current criminological literature that suicide is defined as deliberately forcibly depriving oneself of life, which is committed by one's own will and is not caused by insurmountable external factors or mental disorders, but the concept of juvenile suicide in the theory of criminology.
