This thesis aims to inves- tigate the use of sales forecasting models to improve the accuracy of demand pre- dictions in grocery stores and ultimately reduce food waste. We consider the main factors affecting sales and thoroughly analyze the historical sales data from a se- lected grocery store. The data is preprocessed to handle outliers, missing values, and seasonality. Different sales forecasting models are implemented and compared accuracy metrics. The results demonstrate the effectiveness of specific sales forecast- ing models in capturing demand patterns and improving the accuracy of predictions in the grocery store field. popup.nrat_date 2025-05-09 Close
