The paper examines the theoretical aspects of personnel management, the essence of this process, the historical prerequisites of development, and the peculiarities of personnel management in institutions of higher education. An analysis of the personnel management system at the institution of higher education was carried out, in particular, its features were determined and an analysis of its components was carried out.
