Опис
The topic of the article is quite relevant in accordance with the introduction of artificial intelligence into our lives, scientific and technological progress, urbanization processes and environmental problems. Implementation and transition to smart city technologies is inevitable in the conditions of urbanization in European countries. The Mission of 100 climate-neutral and smart cities by 2030 was considered as part of the Horizon Europe Program. The main goals of the mission, which unites city residents, businesses, investors, local self-government bodies and regional authorities:
the transformation of 100 settlements into climate-neutral and smart cities by 2030; ensuring the
functioning of selected settlements (mainly cities) as innovative and experimental centers with the aim
of spreading the model to all European cities in the future by 2050. The directions of the Mission's work
program were studied: intensifying the participation of cities in reducing the impact of climate change
and reducing emissions into the atmosphere, soil and water through innovative green and natural
solutions; creation and testing of information duplicates; rethinking urban spaces in the context of
climate neutrality; implementing innovative solutions at the local level to reduce pollution through
the study of public attitudes, health impact analysis and implementation of strategies; promoting
the integration of green mobility, energy, industrial and management solutions in the development of
suburban areas. Systematized the leading methods and main indexes, according to which cities are
evaluated for "smart cities", namely: Smart City Index 2020, Global Cities Outlook (GCO), IMD Smart
City Index. The experience of the countries of the European Union regarding the development of smart
cities is considered using the example of: Barcelona (Spain), Copenhagen (Denmark), Amsterdam
(Netherlands), Helsinki (Finland), Vienna (Austria), London (Great Britain). Therefore, European smart
cities prove that the integration of technology into everyday life contributes to sustainable development,
improves the quality of life and allows efficient use of resources.
