Опис
The article aims to increase the energy efficiency of the vacuum cooling system for a biodiesel production plant by using a liquid-vapor jet apparatus (LVJA) that operates on the principle of jet thermocompression. The energy efficiency of the proposed scheme was increased by simplifying the design and replacing the three-stage steam jet ejector with a single-stage LVJA. The structure and principles of operation of basic and alternative schemes were described, along with the operating and thermodynamic parameters at the nodal points of the technological scheme for cooling oils used in the production of biodiesel. To assess the feasibility of upgrading vacuum cooling systems for a biodiesel production plant, thermodynamic, exergetic, and thermoeconomic comparative analyses of both schemes were performed. Based on the thermodynamic analysis, the mass flow rates of the main flows participating in the energy conversion process in the basic and proposed schemes were determined, accounting for savings in boiler steam due to the peculiarities of the LVJA working process. The loads and capacities of components for both schemes were also evaluated. Moreover, through exergetic analysis, the exergy of the fuel and product flows was determined, as well as the exergy efficiency of the proposed scheme, which is 5.9 times higher than the basic scheme. As a result of thermoeconomic analysis, it was determined that using LVJA in vacuum cooling systems for biodiesel production plants is advisable, since it allows for reducing the cost of fuel and the specific cost of the product. The economic effect
of their application reaches 3.6 thousand USD per month.
