The work specifies the categorical and conceptual apparatus of the dominant research terms; the specifics of the professional activity of a teacher of a higher education institution are determined; the conceptual bases of the content of the professional education of a teacher of a higher education institution in modern conditions are analyzed; a program for training teachers of higher education institutions for educational work with students has been developed; methodical recommendations were given to teachers of higher education institutions regarding educational work with students.
