Актуальність дослідження зумовлена необхідністю адекватної передачі багаторівневого комічного ефекту, що часто ускладнюється через мовні, культурні та технічні обмеження субтитрування. Об’єктом дослідження є аудіовізуальний переклад як форма міжкультурної комунікації, а предметом - стратегії перекладу гумору й стереотипів у субтитрованому форматі. Мета дослідження - з’ясувати, якими перекладацькими засобами досягається збереження комічного ефекту, притаманного оригінальному тексту, у межах технічних обмежень субтитрування. Для реалізації цієї мети були поставлені завдання: класифікувати типи гумору, виявити труднощі його перекладу, проаналізувати перекладацькі стратегії та оцінити збереження прагматичного ефекту у перекладі. Робота складається з двох основних розділів. У першому розділі розкрито теоретичні основи аудіовізуального перекладу, типологію гумору, природу мовних стереотипів, а також методологію дослідження. У другому - подано аналіз понад 60 прикладів гумористичних реплік із серіалу “Valeria”. Застосовано зіставний, контекстуальний, прагматичний та соціолінгвістичний аналізи. Результати дослідження засвідчують, що найпоширенішими перекладацькими стратегіями були дослівний переклад, функціональна заміна, адаптація та компенсація. Найскладнішими для перекладу виявилися мовні стереотипи та словесна гра, натомість найменше втрат зазнали алюзії на культурні реалії. Наукова новизна роботи полягає в комплексному аналізі гумору та стереотипів у форматі субтитрів, з урахуванням їхньої комунікативної функції. Практична цінність дослідження полягає в можливості застосування результатів у підготовці перекладачів аудіовізуального контенту, а також у подальших студіях з перекладознавства. This bachelor's thesis analyzes the peculiarities of reproducing humor and linguistic stereotypes in audiovisual translation from Spanish into Ukrainian based on the TV series “Valeria”. The relevance of the study is determined by the need for adequate transmission of the multi-level comic effect, which is often complicated by linguistic, cultural, and technical limitations of subtitling. The object of the study is audiovisual translation as a form of intercultural communication, and the subject is the strategies of translating humor and stereotypes in subtitled format. The aim of the study is to determine what translation techniques are used to preserve the comic effect inherent in the original text within the technical limitations of subtitling. To achieve this goal, the following tasks were set: to classify types of humor, identify the difficulties of its translation, analyze translation strategies, and evaluate the preservation of the pragmatic effect in translation. The work consists of two main sections. The first section reveals the theoretical foundations of audiovisual translation, the typology of humor, the nature of linguistic stereotypes, and the research methodology. The second section presents an analysis of more than 60 examples of humorous lines from the series “Valeria”. Comparative, contextual, pragmatic, and sociolinguistic analyses were used. The results of the study show that the most common translation strategies were literal translation, functional replacement, adaptation, and compensation. Language stereotypes and wordplay proved to be the most difficult to translate, while allusions to cultural realities suffered the least loss. The scientific novelty of the work lies in the comprehensive analysis of humor and stereotypes in subtitles, taking into account their communicative function. The practical value of the study lies in the possibility of applying the results in the training of audiovisual content translators, as well as in further studies in translation studies.
