(The article is devoted to the research of the problem of acmeologization of representatives of the Ukrainian
intelligentsia. This issue of acmeologization of the Ukrainian intelligentsia representatives is an indicator of
changes in a society, which ensures its balanced and sustainable development, and becomes topic under the
conditions of reforming the various social, cultural and educational spheres. A particular importance to this issue
has been granted in the context of self-presentation, the process of self-expression and self-disclosure through the
demonstration of the inner potential. Therefore, the search for effective tactics and techniques of self-presentation,
factors and conditions of formation of the constructive strategies of behavior, requires psychological and
acmeological researches, which would allow a complex determination of subjective and objective characteristics of
a personality in order to more efficiently stimulate their motivation to their life success.
The aim of this article is focused at the empirical research of the tactics of self-presentation as factors of
acmeologization of the Ukrainian intelligentsia representatives. The aim has determined the following tasks for the study: to empirically evaluate the peculiarities of acmeological development of a personality with the high level of
intelligence; to determine the correlation between the tactics of self-presentation of the Ukrainian intelligentsia
representatives with their acme-potential. Life-sense orientations and vitality have been highlighted as the main
indicators of this process. The focus has been put on the dependence of acmeologization respondents of the selfpresentation tactics. Using the “Life-Sense Orientations Test” (D. Leontiev), the adapted version of the test
Purpose-in-Life Test of J. Crambo and L. Maholik (PIL), “Self-presentation of the fairy tales of the questionnaire”
by S. Lee and B. Quigley, Questionnaire regarding the self-esteem of Folverg's resilience (T. Larina’s modification)
and Pearson’s correlation coefficient, the inverse correlation between the indicators of life-sense orientations of the
Locus of Control-Life scale and such self-presentation tactics as “Apologies” and “Strive be attractive” has been
found. In addition, the use of M. Snyder's Self-Monitoring Scale questionnaire has allowed and revealed correlation
of self-monitoring indicators with certain self-presentation tactics (“Strive be attractive”, “Achievement Report”,
“Example to Follow”, “Apology”.
We have evaluated that the self-presentation tactics can be viewed as a short-term behavioral action directed at
managing the impressions of others, play certain role in the process of acmeologization of the individuals with high level of intelligence. It has also been evaluated that the respondents with the high level of intelligence, contrary to the respondents with the low level, prefer tactics of the assertive self-presentation type, while the latter ones – the defensive type. According to the results, the acme potential of the respondents through a dimension of self-presentation, in particular the individuals with
the high level of intelligence, requires optimization, which has been confirmed by the inverse correlation between the
indicators of viability and the tactics “Apology” that can be characterized by hyperresponsiveness.
Such results may indicate that the process of acmeologization among the representatives of the Ukrainian
intelligentsia is primarily aimed at a subjective sense of satisfaction with the process of their self-development and
self-improvement, rather than receiving an external evaluation. The research results can direct one of the areas of corrective work aimed at optimizing the acmeologization of representatives of the Ukrainian intelligentsia.)
