The diagnostic model "classification tree" for determining the severity of corneal lesions in individual patients was proposed (presence of persistent epithelial defect, torpid ulcers and disorders of cornea regeneration after keratoplasty), that allows up to 95,4% to determine the severity of the disturbance of the corneal regeneration (Patents of Ukraine № 78192 and 78193). Application of auto blood serum in complex medical treatment of corneal persistent epithelial defects and torpid ulcers increases the regenerative capacity of the cornea, which is confirmed by prevalence in cytograms epithelial cells of the cornea with the expression of cytokeratin 3 (70%) or equal ratio of the epithelial cells of the cornea and conjunctiva (50% expression of cytokeratin 3 and 50% expression of cytokeratin 19), improving the tactile sensitivity of the cornea in 40.5 % of cases, reduce period of corneal epithelisation at persistent epithelial defects - 6,2 days, at torpid ulcers - 8.7 days. On the developed model of neurotrophic keratitis (Patent of Ukraine № 66507) was found that the optimal is subconjunctival injections of the suspension culture of limbal corneal epithelial cells (Patent of Ukraine № 65507) in a dose of 1 million. in 0.2 ml. nat. solution, as evidenced by the fast regeneration of corneal tissue.
