Object of research are organizational aspects and the process of formation of socially oriented retailer. The study was intended to justify the development of a socially oriented retail network and the development of theoretical, practical and methodological recommendations on its formation and development. Works of foreign and national scientists and economists on the development of retail trade in general and the formation, placement and operation of retail outlets became the theoretical and methodological basis of the study. The study used materials of the State Statistics Service of Ukraine, the main department of statistics in the Kharkov region, the survey population of Kharkov region. Scientific and special methods of research: methods for comprehensive and systematic analysis of comparative, economic and statistical analysis, observation and interviews were used. According to the study of socio-economic development of the country, analysis of status and trends of retail trade and retail trade network proves the necessity of the development of socially oriented retailer. The conceptual basis for the formation and development of socially oriented retail (SORN), recommendations on the organization of marketing activities. In general, the development and formation of SORM will contribute to solving the problems of accessibility of products for socially vulnerable public segments and solve a number of problems of food security of Ukraine. The results can be used in the development of national and regional trade development programs (retail) state and local authorities.
