It has been shown that thrombin controlled constant potential increases sodium current and affect the resting membrane potential, thus increasing the likelihood of seizures in epileptic brain injury. This research will help develop a new strategy of medical intervention in order to prevent the occurrence of epilepsy due to brain injury.
