It was shown that the efficiency of acoustooptical interaction and, consequently, the acoustooptical quality coefficient of Tl3AsS4 crystals can reach extremely high values of ~ 3000x10-15c3 / kg in the case of anisotropic acoustooptic interaction with slow transverse acoustic wave that makes these crystals attractive for use in acoustooptic devices for infrared spectrum range.
