The immunological criteria of the advisability of immunocorrective therapy were justified on the basis of the obtained results. The study involved 148 patients and archival data of 215 patients with chronic tonsillitis were analyzed. According to the results of the complex study of immunological, microbiological and clinical parameters in patients with chronic tonsillitis and comorbid diseases, the algorithm of choice of chronic tonsillitis treatment strategy and tactics has been developed. The use of this algorithm for further stratification of patients with a combination of chronic tonsillitis and atopic dermatitis or recurrent herpes infection allowed objectifying the indications for conservative or surgical treatment of chronic tonsillitis, to achieve a higher efficiency of immunocorrection, to reduce the number of relapses during the year. Application of the second phase of immunocorrective therapy including the systemic immunomodulator allowed to achieve significant clinical improvement on the 90th day of treatment in 41.2% of patients with a combination of chronic tonsillitis and atopic dermatitis and in 31.8% of patients with a combination of chronic tonsillitis and recurrent herpes infection. In these subgroups of patients, a decrease in the number of relapses per year in 2.5 and 1.5 times has been observed, respectively, compared with a subgroup that included patients treated with conservative therapy without the second phase of immunocorrective therapy.
