Methods of research: numerical hydrodynamic prediction models, which describe oceanographic processes in a marine environment; spectral model of wind waves; physico-statistical methods of predicting the ice conditions of the sea. The results given in this report cover: (1) the verification of the prognostic ability of updated and improved physical and statistical methods for medium-term forecasting of ice appearance dates and ice clearing phenomena, long-term forecasts of winter severity in the ports of the Ukrainian part of the Azov-Black Sea basin; (2) verification and validation (testing in the prognostic mode) of the author's 2D numerical hydrodynamic model (for sea level fluctuations prediction) and the package of coupled numerical models Delft3D-FLOW + SWAN (for the operational forecasting of wind-induced currents, wind waves and sea level fluctuations), using weather forecast data from the GFS global atmospheric model; (3) description of the developed graphical user interfaces, scientific and technical manuals, which explain applied predictive methods (including approaches to forecasting the ice phenomena) to be used in operational forecasting practice; (4) assessment of the possibilities and advantages of using the HARMONIE numerical mesoscale atmospheric model to produce the operational forecasts of meteorological parameters over the sea.
