The features of each of the three groups of higher education performance indicators are considered: performance indicators, performance indicators, efficiency indicators. Conclusions are drawn about the need to harmonize KPI with the strategic tree of university goals. The key PIs are those, the influence on which allows the university management to achieve its goals, that is, to adapt to changes in the external environment, the requirements of stakeholders. The content analysis of official websites was carried out, as well as the analysis of statistical indicators of the actions of users of social networks (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram) of top foreign universities according to international rating systems, which included Harvard University (USA), Oxford University (UK), Peking University ( China). Recommendations are presented on the technical and content content of official websites, as well as recommendations on the use of official representations of social networks to form a positive image of the university.
