Title
Studying and optimization of parameters of nuclear-physical facilities using mathematical modeling methods
popup.stage_title

popup.description1
The aim of the work is to study the processes that occur during passing of elementary particles through matter, and the development and optimization of devices where such processes are used. Problems of determining the elemental composition of various objects, including radioactive ones will be considered. The proposed work will also consider the following promising areas of research, such as neutron radiography, the use of neutron beams for medical purposes, based on which new techniques and technologies for various scientific and applied tasks may be developed. The development of new materials for protection against ionizing radiation, which should replace lead-based shielding materials will be studied and the possibility of radionuclides identification on the spectra of their radiation will be investigated. The aim of the work is also to study the interaction of relativistic charged particles with crystals.

The available literature data on electron paths in aluminum were analyzed. Their deviation from the fitting curve, which is atypical for the statistical testing method, was revealed. The significant sensitivity of the parabolic fitting coefficients to minor variations in the values of the calculated electron paths in aluminum was shown. The distribution of the absorbed dose during irradiation of a dosimetric aluminum wedge with an electron beam with energies up to 21.5 MeV was modeled using the standard dosimetric wedge method. A comprehensive analysis of the theoretical foundations, numerical methods, material properties and practical aspects of mathematical modeling of heat transfer in structural materials of toroidal magnetic systems was performed. An analysis of modern data on radiation doses received by pediatric patients during procedures in interventional cardiology was performed. Analysis of available data shows that the cine mode is responsible for approximately half of the dose received by pediatric patients during interventional cardiac procedures, although this mode lasts about 4% of the procedure time. An analysis of dosimetry methods currently used in interventional radiology was conducted. A theoretical model of the coherent nuclear polarization radiation process was created.
